patchwork dress  (more images coming eventually) This is a dress I made for myself before I actually learned how to make dresses (or pockets, for that matter). As you can see, it is a basic sheath dress with double darts and on-seam pockets. I made it from scraps of some of my mom's old quilting fabrics in about a day because I wanted to bring it on a family vacation to Myrtle Beach. All things considered, I think it came out pretty well (even if it's a little short), and I'm proud to be able to admit that the patches match up at all of the seams and darts. |
