The reason I call this one "THE SKIRT" is because that is how my draping teacher assigned it to my sophomore class. We basically had to design and construct a 100% cotton skirt to fit our dress form for under $15. The budget was the most difficult part of the assignment for me because this skirt basically consists of gathered panels that create a sunburst shape when spread out on a surface. I ended up using quilting cotton in this yellow gingham-floral print because it appealed to me and because it was affordable. I wish I could have afforded to line it, though. |
